Either learn how to do a compression check or find a shop you trust. When spending this kind of money you really need to do some QA before taking a lead. Basiclly a test drive and saying "yeah I guess thats good" aint cutting it. Take a lesson from the dude that bought Jackie Chan's NA only to then sit here and bitch about this, that or the other. You're the buyer, you have the $$$ which means you hold influence over the negottiations. Terms of any sound purchase should include a healthy PPI (pre-purchase inspection) from a reputable shop you trust. I best assests when buying my TTZ where KaZ and Spddemon13 (and the good graces of their females) I drug the two of them as far as Florida and Connecticut to look at cars. Their opinion and insight when looking at cars was very helpful. Their specific knowledge of what a TTZ should perform like was very valuable. Bring someone else with, 2 sets of eyes will always notice more then one, then go home and talk about what you saw. Sleep on it and make a decidion in the morning. Don't buy something half-cocked only to find lots of needed repairs or hidden problems that will cost you 1000's to fix because you where too cheap to spend $150 on a PPI. Its your money, spend it wisely and good luck. Speach Off.
